This joie de vivre inspired me to put fun into one of my biggest passions... Bluebirds!
I hope you love the art of bluebirds and my whimsical approach to providing them fun nesting accommodations!

* Lynne lives in Mansfield, Massachusetts with husband Peter, daughter Kristen, son Michael, Kelsey, Finley and many, many, many bluebirds.
It all started with a simple bluebird house... then I became obsessed.
I read everything I possibly could about bluebirds. I fell in love with the whole concept of having them, honoring me with their presence. I then dove head first into mealworms... yes you heard me ~ mealworms!
Apparently these majestic birds really do not like to hang with the "common folk" at bird feeders. They prefer special mealworm feeders. Once I decided to embrace this passion, this adventure ~ I wanted to make it one hell of a ride!
Please follow me, if nothing more than, for my photos of my birds. I will religiously post my fun antics and being a crazy bird lady!
P.S. Yes my children and friends often refer to me as the "crazy bird lady" which I proudly accept. My son will never forget the winter of 2014 when I begged him to shovel a path to the bird feeders since I could not literally reach them.
I have vivid memories, as a teenager, coming home and walking into our screened porch ~ seeing my dad, looking through binoculars at the various birds in our yard. My dad and I had a very special relationship. I clearly remember standing there looking at him and saying, "My God, Dad, is THIS what is like to get old?" Mind you he was in his early 50's at this point ~ which happens to be MY age now.
My love for bluebirds began when my mom was sitting with me in my brand new home, looking into our yard she said, "OMG you have bluebirds!" My mom explained how rare and special it was to have bluebirds in our yard. She then pointed one out. I excitedly admitted how beautiful the bird was. I eventually bought a bluebird house and was beyond thrilled when I had a nest, eggs, and then babies.
For over 18-years I have had the honor and pleasure of hosting these beautiful birds. They really are spectacular birds. And, if you can convince them to be your tenants, then you have succeeded. You will enjoy years of looking through the binoculars ~ just like my dad!
In 2011, I saw my first inspiration for the design of my unique bluebird houses. I fell in love with the whimsical nature of them and decided to hand-craft my own. I had made one here and there and donated them for fundraisers or replaced one of my store bought houses.
Then one year, I decided to start my own little slice of heaven and spread the love of bluebirds. My goal ~ educate fellow bird lovers on how to attract bluebirds and keep them around all year long. I make each house by hand and every one is different. They are not only functional, but also a piece of art for your back yard. The beauty of the roof of the house is that it also acts as a sparrow spooker ~ which is a huge benefit in deterring these bluebird enemies from destroying the nesting season.
I will also guide you with specific tips and hints on the most appropriate place for your house. I completely enjoy making these items and my hope is that you enjoy them as well.
